Vote for the Most Anticipated Album of January 2016
Happy New Year! ... er, almost. As 2015 winds down, it's time to start looking forward to all of the new music that 2016 will bring, including four brand-new releases in January, all of which are vying for the title of The Boot's January 2016 Album of the Month.
First up, on Jan. 8, the Grascals will release And Then There's This ..., their first new record since 2013 and their first with John Bryan on vocals and guitar. But the new releases really ramp up on Jan. 15, when the Brothers Osborne will put out their debut album, Pawn Shop.
“It’s challenging to have an entire life’s work summed up in 11 songs, so we really focused on having every track on this album held together by what John and I do,” TJ Osborne says. “We want it to be different scenes on each track but to keep each one honest and from our perspective.”
Also on Jan. 15, the Randy Rogers Band will debut Nothing Shines Like Neon, their seventh studio album, featuring duets with Alison Krauss, Jamey Johnson and Jerry Jeff Walker. And finally, on the same day, Hank Williams Jr.'s It's About Time -- his first album with his new label, Nash Icon -- will hit the shelves.
“We have made an album that is pure magic,” Williams says. “The songs — some I wrote and others I got from great songwriters — are typical Hank Jr. songs and I think will connect with anyone who hears them.”
Which of January's four new releases are you most looking forward to? Vote for your favorite in the poll below -- you can vote as often as once per hour through Dec. 31 at 11:59PM ET -- and the project with the most votes will be crowned as The Boot's very first Album of the Month for 2016.
