Jo Dee MessinaJo Dee Messina is taking a little piece of home-sweet-home out on the road with her. The stage on the singer's upcoming tour will be modeled after her favorite room in her house -- the room where she writes, sings and rehearses. Her Music Room Series tour promises to be an up close and personal experience for fans, as Jo Dee promises to make the show just like it would be if they were in her home.

"I wanted a chance for folks to get to know me," Jo Dee tells Florida's Hometown News. "We go into an intimate setting, and it's hanging out with me for the night. The questions people ask dictate what we sing. We do everything from 'Amazing Grace' to the national anthem. Usually, they request my songs. It's all about the audience. We're usually just laughing and talking and singing!"

Of course, every once in awhile, an artist must field an unexpected, risque question. But Jo Dee isn't worried.

"I'm an Italian chick from Boston -- I can handle it," she laughs.

The Music Room Series kicks off Oct. 23 and 24 in Fort Pierce and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., respectively. Tickets are on sale now, and more shows are expected to be added. Jo Dee is also offering a free six-month Music Room Series fan club membership to everyone purchasing a ticket for the tour.
