Loretta Lynn is back home in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., recovering from the beginning stages of bacterial pneumonia. The 76-year-old country legend was rushed to the hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. over the weekend, forcing her to cancel performances in Ashland Ky. and Durahm, N.C.

"Around 1:30 AM Saturday morning, Loretta awoke on her tour bus complaining that she was having a hard time breathing," her rep reports in a statement on the singer's website. Loretta herself adds, "It was one scary night ... But I am feeling better and just gonna take it easy for a couple of weeks."

Loretta is scheduled to take the stage again as early as Nov. 3 in Knoxville, Tenn. There's no word yet on if that show will go on as planned, but she's certainly proved resilient and determined before, performing in 2009 after a bout with the flu and earlier this year in Buffalo, N.Y. after undergoing knee replacement surgery. Best wishes to Loretta for a speedy recovery!
