She's already nominated three times at next month's ACM Awards, all for her debut single "Merry Go Round," and come this fall during the height of awards season, expect to hear Kacey Musgraves' name called for several Album of the Year honors, as well. The Texas native's Same Trailer Different Park was a critic favorite before it even hit stores, and now that it's been out a week, we know that fans agree. Kacey's stellar debut album tops this week's country albums chart, with more than 43,500 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan data. (Over on the all-genre Top 200 chart, only one person tops Kacey, the unstoppable Justin Timberlake with his long-awaited new album.)

Kacey's Trailer houses a lot of rebellious tunes, with lyrics about one night stands, smoking pot and embracing homosexuality. A co-writer on every track, the 24 year old refused to censor herself when writing for the project, "because I feel like that's kind of what country music is lacking," she explains to The Boot. "If we are wanting to progress and change as a genre, I don't think we should be scared of taboo subjects. Every other genre gets to sing about them; why can't we?"
