Watch Kacey Musgraves Bring ‘Blowin’ Smoke’ to the 2013 CMT Music Awards

Hot country newcomer Kacey Musgraves brought her current single 'Blowin' Smoke' at the 2013 CMT Awards on Wednesday night (June 5), engaging the crowd with a winning performance that was as original as anything in Nashville right now.

Musgraves shot to No. 1 with her debut album, 'Same Trailer, Different Park.' The song is the second single from the album; it was preceded by 'Merry Go Round.' She set aside her customary guitar to perform 'Blowin' Smoke' with mic in hand, dressed casually. Musgraves walked through the audience and led them in singing the song's chorus, showing a confidence on stage that's grown through her recent touring.

Musgraves is nominated for Female Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year. She will spend much of the summer opening for Kenny Chesney in some of the biggest venues in the country.
