Cam has released a reworked vision of indie pop singer-songwriter Christine and the Queens’ French language cut “La Marcheuse.” She slows down the original version’s dance beats, pushing her first ever non-English vocal performance as a recording artist to the song’s forefront.

"I've been in awe of Christine and the Queens," Cam says in a press release. "The art and theater of what Chris is doing right now pushes people to reflect on vulnerability and strength, and the gender associations that color those concepts for us. Which resonates deeply with me, and feels within arms’ reach of the darkness and light I've been exploring to create my upcoming album."

"This will be my first time playing my own music in Paris -- last time I performed there was in stained-glass chapels and stone-walled cathedrals with a children's choir when I was 13," Cam reflects. "With every visit since, the city of Paris manages to etch a new stripe of wonder across my mind. To be playing my own show in that city and participate in such a grand cultural tradition of art ... honestly, it only feels right that I give an offering before I get there."

The press release teases more new music from Cam this year via RCA Records. Her most recent album, her major-label debut Untamed, was released in December of 2015.
