The past year has been quite a journey for the Band Perry, who are nominated for their first-ever CMA Award in the Vocal Group of the Year category. While the competition may be tough, with Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts and the Zac Brown Band all vying for the coveted title, the sibling trio already consider the invite a triumph.

"We plan on being seat fillers the night of the awards," Kimberly Perry tells The Boot. "Last year, we were eating a pizza at the Comfort Inn & Suites watching it on TV." "Room 211," Neil interjects.

"To actually get to go to the awards, that's the win for the Band Perry," Kimberly continues. "And we may bring a pizza with us this year." "And we may share," Reid adds. "We'll be eating on the inside instead of the outside," Kimberly clarifies.

There is no question who the band is most excited to see at the event. "Loretta Lynn," they say in unison.

"They're doing a tribute to her this year," Kimberly explains. "I'm going to go find that woman and [tell her], 'You are our idol!'"

"We try not to gherm too much, but we would gherm Loretta Lynn," Neil assures. For those who aren't familiar with the term "gherm," it's the act of freaking out in the presence of an artist, athlete or celebrity and professing your undying love for them and/or their craft.

Of course, everyone knows the most important aspect of any awards show is what you wear. "That's our favorite part," Reid says sarcastically. "We've got what we're wearing picked out, but it's going to be right up until the last minute until it's ready."

"Our mother is our stylist," Kimberly explains. "We all sort of participate in that highly stressful process of finding something to wear to an awards show. I thought it was going to be easier than it was, but it's not. I'll be in a black Vera Wang dress this year. We looked everywhere and finally narrowed it down. We'll all be in black on the carpet. Then we'll change for the presents."

The "presents" as Kimberly calls it, is under wraps. What we do know is that the siblings will be on stage by themselves and they'll be doing a little more than presenting. Could they be singing their hit single 'If I Die Young'? Guess we're just going to have to watch Wednesday, November 10 on ABC to see what that means.

Meanwhile, the Band Perry are on the road with Alan Jackson and Chris Young. Find out where they're playing next here.
