It was the fall seen all over the country. Shania Twain famously took a tumble while making her grand entrance at the CMT Music Awards in June, where she was on hand to present the award for Male Video of the Year. But now, the Canadian-born singer is using her minor misfortune to raise funds for a cause near and dear to her heart.

Shania is auctioning off the shoes she was wearing on that fateful night via eBay, with all the proceeds benefiting her charity, Shania Kids Can, which provides resources and support for at-risk youth in the school system. Calling the experience "one of life's most embarrassing moments," the newlywed promised in a YouTube video moments after the spill that she would "auction off the shoes," adding that she "never wanted to see those shoes again."

The autographed pair of black BCBG Maxazria stilettos have a current bid of $6,100, which will go a long way in helping the charity for which she feels so passionate. "I can personally relate to the effects of growing up with difficulties at home and understand the problems kids can face while trying to fit in with the other students who are not experiencing the same disadvantages in their personal lives," the global superstar shares on her website. "My reason for creating this program is to ensure that underprivileged children in our communities are provided and cared for during their time at school, to help prevent them from falling through the cracks. I feel luck saved me from falling through the cracks as a child and believe it's neither wise nor fair to leave the destiny of any child to luck."

Shania is making preparations for her Still the One concert series at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, which kicks off in December of 2012. Tickets run from $55 to $250, and can be purchased here.

The eBay auction runs through August 21. Bid on the shoes here.
