Shania Twain is taking up residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The music icon announced today her 'Still the One' concert series in Sin City, which will begin on December 1, 2012. She'll perform 60 shows per year for two years.

"This is a dream for any recording artist," Shania said in a press conference in Nashville Wednesday. "This is more than an opportunity, it's an exceptional gift."

So why the 15 month wait for the superstar's return to the stage? Well, Shania has been battling a medical condition called dysphonia, which she explains causes the muscles in her throat to squeeze her voice box. She blames the condition on traumatic events in her life, including the death of her parents in a car accident when she was a teenager and witnessing domestic violence as a child. But this is a hurdle Shania fully plans to jump ... and certainly in time for Vegas.

And fans only have to wait until tonight to get tickets! If you have an American Express card, you'll be able to scoop up seats in an AMEX pre-sale that will start just after Shania announces the Male Video of the Year award on tonight's live CMT Awards broadcast.

Shania is set to premiere her first new single in six years, 'Today Is Your Day,' on the 'Why Not? With Shania Twain' series finale Sunday night (June 12). Immediately following the show, the tune will be sent directly to radio stations nationwide, and will be available to fans only via iTunes. The finale airs Sunday at 10:00 PM ET/PT on OWN.

The episode, titled 'Endless Love,' shows Shania as she records a duet of that iconic 1981 hit with Lionel Richie. Also featured is never-before-seen footage of Shania's wedding to Frédéric Thiébaud in the Bahamas at the beginning of 2011.
