Shania TwainIn January, Shania Twain created a stir of excitement when she emerged from seclusion to serve as a guest judge on the third night of auditions for 'American Idol' in Chicago. On Tuesday (April 27), Shania will return to mentor the six remaining contestants as they perform songs from her catalogue during the telecast.

Although she hasn't released any new music in several years, Shania has been writing diligently for her next album, even fleeing the brutal cold of the Canadian winter in February to thaw out in the sunny Caribbean and inspire her creativity.

Since then, anticipation over Shania's comeback has been fanned even higher after it was announced that she had scored her own reality show, 'Why Not? With Shania Twain' on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. The hour-long show will follow Shania as she embarks on her personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures back to the top

'American Idol' will be broadcast on FOX Tuesday, April 27 at 8:00 P.M. EST. Wednesday night's results show (April 28) will be broadcast at 9:00 P.M. EST, featuring Lady Antebellum performing 'Need You Now' and Rascal Flatts performing 'Unstoppable.'
