Little Big Town Ready to Roll the Dice in Vegas

Little Big Town have a jam-packed spring schedule, but the foursome definitely plan to enjoy some downtime when they're in Las Vegas for the April 3 Academy of Country Music awards.

The quartet are again contenders for Top Vocal Group of the Year honors. The other nominees in that category are the Randy Rogers Band, the Band Perry, Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum. Little Big Town won Top New Vocal Group of the Year awards in 2006 and 2007.

"We always make time for a little fun when we're in Las Vegas," Karen Fairchild tells The Boot. "We're working a lot in Los Angeles the week before we go, so it'll be fun [to relax]."

LBT's Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook, along with bandmate Kimberly Schlapman's husband, Steven, will likely head to the pool during the day and to the casinos at night.

"There are always great stories about what happens in the casinos during the ACMs," says Jimi. "Every person from Nashville is down there."

As for the ladies, Kimberly and Karen plan to shop. We're betting they will stop by Gold & Silver Pawn, site of the History Channel reality show 'Pawn Stars.'

"My husband and I went there and it was so exciting," says Kimberly of the store. "My dad was there, too. We bought a couple things just so we could say we bought something there."

And, yes, she was recognized and was glad to sign autographs for fans.

The 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton, will broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas at 8:00 PM ET on April 3. Little Big Town's next scheduled concert is March 25 in Winston-Salem, N.C. For more LBT concert information, check here.
