With six 2015 CMA Awards nominations under their belts this year, Little Big Town hit the stage with confidence at the to perform their hit "Girl Crush."

The country quartet showed off their beautiful harmonies while standing on a backlit stage in black and silver outfits. Per usual, LBT member Karen Fairchild owned the tune, providing powerful, simple vocals. They received a loud round of applause from the audience

"Girl Crush" garnered nods for Song of the Year and Single of the Year, but its debut on radio was met with some controversy due to the abstract delivery of the song and its lyrics. The song features Fairchild singing longingly of another woman -- a woman who has the man she wants: "I wanna taste her lips, yeah, ‘cause they taste like you / I wanna drown myself in a bottle of her perfume / I want her long blonde hair, I want her magic touch / Yeah, ‘cause maybe then you’d want me just as much."

Even with the critics -- or maybe partly due to the attention -- "Girl Crush broke a long-standing chart record. Since the song's release, many country artists have voiced their love of the tune, and Eric Church, Meghan Linsey, Faith Hill and more have performed it.
