She's a singer, a songwriter and an actress, and now LeAnn Rimes reveals she'd like to add 'fashion designer' to her resume. The 29-year-old felt inspired by attending Fashion Week in New York City, and now hopes to parlay her love of great style into a future business endeavor.

"I would love to [become a designer]," she tells CMIL. "We've actually talked about it many times. It's just trying to find the right creative people to be involved with, and maybe that will come about soon."

The wife of actor Eddie Cibrian adds her ideal clothing line would be an eclectic mix of items. "These days, everyone seems to think I wear nothing but a bikini, so maybe I'll do a swimwear line. I might as well before everything starts sagging," she jokes. "I'm obsessed with shoes, too. I would love to do a shoe [line], I would love to do an accessory line. There are many ideas that I have, maybe in the next few years it will come to a solution."

The songbird may have to put her fashion aspirations on hold for a few months. She is busy crossing the country promoting her new album, 'Lady and Gentlemen,' produced by Vince Gill. For someone who has weathered plenty of tabloid backlash, thanks to her relationship with her now-husband while they were both still married to other people, the multi-platinum-selling singer hopes the new CD brings the focus off of her personal life, and back to her music.

"I've learned from my mistakes and have a great life. I am really happy," she tells The Boot. "I understand the obsession, but I don't agree with it. It's way over. Time to move on. But now that I'm a tabloid staple -- with my weight or what I wore -- it's insane to me, but hopefully this [album] will remind people of what I do best. I love music, and it's time to get on with that and acting and things that I have the talent for. I'm not trying to get my 15 minutes of fame by being a celebrity in a tabloid magazine."

LeAnn will play next week in Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania and Vermont. See her complete tour schedule here.
