LeAnn Rimes Opens Up About Life With Eddie Cibrian

LeAnn Rimes has spent much of the past year dealing with the tabloid headlines sparked by her separation from husband Dean Sheremet and news of a budding relationship with actor Eddie Cibrian. These days, the singer's life is finally starting to settle back to "normal." She has sold her Nashville digs and now resides in Los Angeles with Eddie. She also recently opened up to PEOPLE magazine about her divorce, the heartbreak caused by the couple's affair, and the new life she and Eddie are building together.

"Eddie and I are super honest with each other," LeAnn tells PEOPLE. "Even if it's going to hurt, we both want the truth. It's not just one person in the relationship who's taking care of the other -- it's both of us putting the effort in. We are two separate people. He supports my independence, but he's also there when I need him."

LeAnn reveals she's also learning how to adjust to having more than just her dogs in the household. She's quickly had to take on the role of helping raise Eddie's two young sons, Mason, 7, and Jake, 3. "I went from having zero kids to having two around. That's a whole other level of growing up fast," she says. "They're not my children, but they're part of my life. They are so much fun."

LeAnn's latest musical adventure is the John Anderson classic, 'Swingin',' which hit radio this week. It's the first single from her upcoming album of cover songs, 'Lady and Gentleman.'
