LeAnn Rimes Announces Divorce

LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet are officially calling it quits.

"After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage," LeAnn writes on her website (using the spelling of her husband's given name). "This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated."

LeAnn and Dean were married in 2002, when LeAnn was just 19-years-old and Dean was 21. They separated earlier this year, after rumors surfaced that the singer was having an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, her co-star in a made-for-TV movie. LeAnn and Eddie have been photographed together several times throughout the last few months on what appear to be romantic dates, though the two have yet to admit to the nature of their relationship. Eddie filed for divorce from his wife of seven years, model Brandi Glanville, last week.

LeAnn and Eddie were spotted last week on vacation together in Mexico. Dean has recently moved from Nashville to New York City, where he's attending culinary school.
