LeAnn Rimes and Reba McEntire Celebrated By Kennedy Center

Amid the harsh rumors surrounding LeAnn Rimes this week, there's happier news to report for the singer.

Rimes, along with country superstar Reba McEntire, will be among the ladies honored at the Kennedy Center's upcoming Spring Gala. Titled "A Celebration of Women in the Arts," the event is described as "an impressive array of female artists that have all shaped the collective landscape of culture and beyond."

Also slated to appear or perform at the event will be singers Patti LaBelle and k.d. lang; actresses Kathleen Turner, Stockard Channing, and Amy Poehler; photographer Annie Leibovitz; and the women of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

The 2009 Kennedy Center Spring Gala is set to take place on May 3rd at Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center Concert Hall.
