Influential folk artist Karen Dalton's stunning 1971 record In My Own Time is getting a special and much-deserved reintroduction to music lovers later this year. A newly remastered "super-deluxe edition" of the album is set for release on March 25, and will include a previously unreleased live version of Dalton's track "One Night Of Love."

The recording, which is premiering exclusively on The Boot today, showcases the late singer-songwriter's distinctive, soulful vocals and inarguable sense artistry that awed fellow artists of the time like Bob Dylan. In "One Night Of Love," Dalton dissects the pain she feels over a lover who makes her feel like a stop along the roadmap instead of a loyal partner for the long journey ahead.

Dalton passed away in 1993, but her influence and unique sound continues to make an impact on artists across genres to this day. Her art, which was in many ways ahead of its time, has directly influenced new generations of musical talents, including Lucinda Williams, Margo Price and Adele.

Take a listen to Karen Dalton's "One Night Of Love," recorded live from the Beat Club in Germany, below:

"One Night Of Love (Live at the Beat Club)" will be included on the "super deluxe" 50th anniversary edition of In My Own Time, due out March 25 via archival reissue label Light in the Attic. Along with the song above, the vinyl record collection features restored versions of the album's original ten tracks and eight more bonus tracks that were never previously available on a physical format, as well as a 20-page booklet of unseen photos and liner notes.

The reissue follows the release of the acclaimed 2021 documentary Karen Dalton: In My Own Time, which cast a spotlight on her important presence in the 1960s Greenwich Village folk scene and impactful career until her tragic death at the age of 55. The film, directed by Richard Peete and Robert Yapkowitz, is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime, Apple TV+ and other streaming services.
