With the 2019 Billboard Music Awards set to take place on Wednesday evening (May 1), the list of the show's presenters have officially been announced. Florida Georgia Line and Kane Brown will represent the country contingent of the group of presenting artists and icons, on a list that also includes Eva Longoria, Chrissy Metz , Julia Michaels, Julianne Hough and many more.

Brown and FGL are in the running to bring home trophies, too: Both acts scored nominations in the categories of Top Country Artist and Top Country Song (Brown for "Heaven"; FGL for their Bebe Rexha collaboration, "Meant to Be.") Additionally, Brown is up for awards in the categories of Top Country Male Vocalist and Top Country Album (for his self-titled studio debut), while the superstar country duo is nominated in the category of Top Country Duo / Group.

However, neither netted as many nods as duo Dan + Shay, who are the show's most-nominated country act, scoring all-genre nods as well as nominations in country-specific categories. Dan + Shay are scheduled to perform during the ceremony, too, teaming up with pop singer Tori Kelly.

Nominees and winners at the Billboard Music Awards will be determined according to Billboard chart performance. According to Billboard, the process takes into account "key interaction with music fans, as well as album and digital songs sales, radio airplay, streaming, touring and social engagement, [as] tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound." Kelly Clarkson will host the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, and is also planning to perform during the ceremony. The show will air live from Las Vegas on NBC beginning at 8PM ET on May 1.
