John RichJohn Rich is offering a free download of 'Lend a Hand,' a song he wrote last week in the aftermath of the deadly floods that hit Middle Tennessee. The singer-songwriter, who spent Saturday helping his neighbors by "power spraying basements," dedicates the rollicking rockabilly tune to "the good people of Tennessee" who are dealing with the recent disaster.

"We've done had ourselves a flood down in Tennessee / And just like the days of Noah, we had water to cover our land / And we're asking y'all to kindly lend a hand / Well, lend a hand to your neighbor / Throw a lifeline to a friend / Say a prayer for the ones who washed away / Dig down deep in your soul, let your heart just overflow / Every woman and every man, c'mon lend us a hand."

Visitors can receive the free download if they sign up for John's email list via his website, and he's also encouraging people to donate $10 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund by texting REDCROSS to 90999.

Last week, John appeared on FOX News, along with country legend George Jones, to talk about the devastation left in the wake of the floods and to urge people to donate to the Red Cross. John's grandmother, affectionately called Granny Rich, was trapped in her home and had to be rescued by boat.
