Jake Owen has continued his streak of releasing new music: On the heels of his last releases, the single "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" and the surprise release "Something to Ride To," the country singer has unveiled his poignant new ballad, "Made for You."

In a special appearance celebrating the fifth birthday of the Bobby Bones Show, Owen and a full backing band offered a performance of several songs both old and new, including the brand-new track. Readers can press play above to listen to the full performance.

While "Something to Ride To" deals with themes of breakups and moving on and "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" is a nostalgic throwback that pays homage to the John Mellencamp classic "Jack and Diane," Owen's newest tune is an honest, poignant ballad that pairs an acoustic guitar line with straightforward lyrics of devotion and love.

"Like a ship without a sea / Or a song without a melody / Yeah, I don't know where I'd be be or what I'd do / 'Cause I was made for you," Owen sings on the song's chorus.

"This song's called "Made for You," and it's for everybody out there that's got that somebody that they're made for," the country singer commented before beginning his performance of the new track. "It's 100-percent my favorite song that I've not only heard in the past little while, but it's probably gonna be one of my favorites I've ever recorded."

After moving to Big Loud Records last November following more than a decade signed to RCA Nashville, Owen released "I Was Jack (You Were Diane)" as his first single on that label. He is scheduled to launch his 2018 Life's Whatcha Make It Tour this May.
