The notoriously patriotic Hank Williams Jr. and John Rich are set to honor America's laborers this holiday weekend at an event in West Virginia. More than 70,000 people have registered to attend the free Friends of America Rally, taking place on Labor Day, Sept. 7, south of Logan,, near Holden, W. Va., 45 minutes southeast of Charleston.

The event will be emceed by rocker Ted Nugent and will also feature Halfway to Hazard, Taylor Made and Blackwater Outlaws. Fox News commentator Sean Hannity and Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science adviser to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, will be featured speakers.

Billed as a rally to honor America's working families, support the American way of life and urge people to stand up for American jobs, the event will be held on a previous surface mine just south of Logan. It has garnered more than 100 sponsors, many of which are energy companies that rely on coal.

While the all-day event is free and open to the public, everyone must register at the Friends of America Rally website in order to attend.
