Hear Eric Paslay’s New Single, ‘Young Forever’ [LISTEN]
Eric Paslay has released a refreshing single, about growing up and still believing in the magic of things, called "Young Forever." The artist behind "Friday Night," who has toured with Dierks Bentley, Eric Church and Little Big Town, among many others, has steadily released music that balances lyrical depth with catchy, fun-loving melodies over the course of his career, and his latest track is no exception.
"Young Forever" is a song that celebrates what it felt like to be a young kid focused on the simplest things in life and not yet feeling the pressures of the adult world. Paslay describes what it meant to be so young and optimistic singing, "We didn’t need no cash, didn’t need no gasoline / So much faith we could walk on water / Yeah, we were on top of the world / Shooting stars, lighting up the boulevard / Proud small-town boys and girls / Wide open roads and unbroken hearts / If I had one wish, yeah / If I had one wish, oh / If I had one wish / We’d be together, young forever."
The carefree and reminiscent vibe of the song is supported by Paslay's soft and steady singing over a steady drum beat. Readers can press play above to hear the full song as played at a concert on Feb. 10. "Young Forever" was written by Paslay, Morgan Evans and Chris DeStefano, and produced by Ilya Toshinskiy. The song will impact radio on March 5.
