Carrie Underwood has, as expected, blown away the competition on both the Billboard Top Country Album chart and the all-genre Billboard 200 this week as her fourth album, Blown Away , debuts at No. 1 on both charts. Scanning 267,000 copies in sales for the week, according to Nielsen Soundscan, the album sends Lionel Richie's Tuskegee to No. 2 on the country survey and replaces Jack White's Blunderbuss on the Billboard 200.

Carrie has become only the second country artist in history (behind Miranda Lambert) to have her first four albums all debut at No. 1 on the country chart. Although Blown Away continues Carrie's uninterrupted streak of chart-topping country albums, the first-week numbers for the album fall below those of the previous three. Her 2005 post-"American Idol" debut, Some Hearts, sold 315,000 in its first week (kept out of the top spot on the Billboard 200 by Madonna's Confessions on a Dance Floor); Carnival Ride moved 527,000 units when it debuted in 2007, and 2009's Play On sold 318,000 in it's first week. Blown Away has, however, posted the best first-week sales of any country album thus far in 2012. The collection also tops the digital sales chart with 107,000 copies, registering the best numbers for a country album on that chart since 2010.

Elsewhere on the country album chart, four albums that have been around a while actually increased their sales numbers this week: Luke Bryan's Tailgates and Tanlines, which has been out for 39 weeks, moves from No. 4 to 3, Eric Church climbs from 7 to 6 with Chief and Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party is up from 9 to 7, with all three experiencing a 13 percent spike in sales. Meanwhile Lady Antebellum's Own the Night moves from No. 10 to No. 9, closing in on sales of nearly 1.6 million. Eric Church has the top track on the digital singles sales chart this week as "Springsteen" climbs to No. 1, moving Taylor Swift's "Eyes Open" to No. 2. Luke Bryan stays "Drunk on You" at No. 3, Carrie's "Blown Away" blasts onto the chart at No. 4, and Kip Moore's "Somethin' 'Bout a Tuck" remains at No. 5.

"Blown Away" isn't the only track from that album giving Carrie a stronghold in digital sales this week -- "Good Girl" is at No. 7, "Good in Goodbye" debuts at No. 13, "See You Again" comes in at 29, "Do You Think About Me" is No. 40, "Two Black Cadillacs" is at the No. 62 spot, with "Wine After Whiskey" at 65, "Forever Changed" at 81, and "One Way Ticket" at No. 99.
