Taylor Swift is nearing the 3 million mark with sales of her latest album, Red. Holiday shopping has catapulted the project to the tops of both the country albums chart and all-genre Top 200 chart this week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Over the holidays, Red averaged more than 200,000 copies sold per week, making its grand total now at almost 2.9 million units sold. Red was the best-selling country album of 2012, and the second-best seller overall for the year, behind Adele's 21.

Just after Taylor on this week's country chart is Lady Antebellum, with the trio's On This Winter's Night holiday album at No. 2. Rounding out the Top 5 are Little Big Town's Tornado, Blake Shelton's Cheers, It's Christmas and Jason Aldean's Night Train.

Over on the country singles chart, Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise" is No. 1 in digital sales this week, with duo's breakout song now topping 1.4 million downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan data. The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two" follows and is now close to half a million downloads in total sales. "The Voice" winner Cassadee Pope's version of Miranda Lambert's "Over You" comes in at No. 3, just ahead of Hunter Hayes' "Wanted" and the first single from Taylor's Red album, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Next up for Taylor is her Red tour, headlining 58 shows in 45 cities in 2013. See a list of cities and dates on the trek here.
