She's Grammy's golden girl, with a record 27 wins to her credit, but Alison Krauss may be feeling a bit more yellow these days! As part of the celebration of the upcoming 500th episode of the long-running animated series 'The Simpsons,' Alison and her band Union Station will be heard fiddling around with the show's familiar opening theme song. (Listen to it here.)

The episode, titled 'At Long Last Leave,' sees the Simpson family evicted from their hometown of Springfield, after which they join a community on the outskirts of town. Julian Assange, the notorious WikiLeaks founder, will also be featured on the milestone show.

Alison and Union Station join a long list of musicians who have participated in 'Simpsons' episodes. Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Dixie Chicks, Linda Ronstadt, Kid Rock and Lionel Richie are among the hundreds of guest stars the show Emmy-winning show has attracted throughout its 23 seasons.

The most recent album by AKUS, 'Paper Airplane,' won two Grammys last week. Alison was nominated for her first Grammy award in 1990, shortly after the first-ever Simpsons episode aired. The 500th epidoe of 'The Simpsons' airs on FOX this Sunday (Feb. 19) at 8:00 PM ET. See a slideshow preview of the episode and a history of 'The Simpsons' here.
