Tim McGraw scores another No. 1 single as his hit 'Felt Good on My Lips' tops both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard country singles charts. Carrie Underwood's 'Mama's Song' comes in at No. 2 on Mediabase, while sitting at No. 3 on Billboard. Jason Aldean's 'My Kinda Party' is in second place on Billboard and wraps the Top 3 on Mediabase.

'Felt Good on My Lips' is featured on Tim's two-disc collection, 'Number One Hits,' and is just the most recent in a string of hits over his nearly 20-year music career. The superstar says picking good songs is not as complicated a process as one might think.

"I just try to go in and find the best songs I can find, songs I really like, and try to let the music and the songs take you where they take you," Tim tells The Boot. "I don't really put any kind of parameters on anything I'm doing. It's gonna be me when I open my mouth, no matter how much I do anything different, it's still gonna be me ... Ultimately, as an artist, you have to go in and cut songs you like and make them sound the way you want them to sound, and hopefully, the people will like it."

The latest No. 1 comes on the heels of his 2010 tour being named Billboard's Top Country Tour, and the same week his new movie, 'Country Strong,' opens in theaters nationwide (Friday, January 7).

Tim is making the media rounds this week to promote 'Country Strong.' He drops by the 'Late Show With David Letterman' on Tuesday, January 4, followed by an appearance on ABC's 'Good Morning America' on Wednesday morning. Click here to catch Tim's additional media appearances.

The superstar has also just announced his Emotional Traffic tour, which kicks off this spring. The trek will feature opening acts Luke Bryan and The Band Perry. Tickets go on sale January 15.
