The Band Perry will hit the road with Tim McGraw on Friday (April 8) on the superstar's Emotional Traffic tour. The family trio are ready to put their collective nose to the grindstone and try to give fans as much music and entertainment as they can handle, a skill they've been honing and perfecting for more than a decade.

"I just remember spending our summers listening to live music," Kimberly Perry tells The Boot. "So, for us to now be providing that live music over the summer, we're so grateful to be a part of that tour and warm up the stage for Tim McGraw. Live music is what we do and it's what we've done for 13 years in the Band Perry. It's the family business, and we're going to roll up our sleeves and work hard this summer."

"We think of ourselves as a live band," agrees Reid Perry. "So, to actually be able to play 50-plus dates with Tim McGraw on his stage in front of his audience is a true honor."

The band, who are scorching the country charts with 'You Lie,' have already met their Emotional Traffic headliner, at last year's CMA Awards, so there will be a familiarity factor for them when they kick off the tour on Friday. That's probably a good thing, considering Kimberly was rendered speechless when she was first introduced to Tim at the CMA Awards.

"He and Faith [Hill] were hanging out in the dressing rooms. I was in one with Gwyneth [Paltrow] and Vince [Gill]," recalls Kimberly. "We've gotten to meet so many of our heroes over the last year, but I was absolutely speechless and starstruck when I met Tim McGraw. I don't know what it was, maybe it was the moment, that night, maybe his presence as an artist, just the whole moment. I was completely speechless, which is quite a feat, as my brothers will tell you."

"We walked up to him and introduced ourselves," Neil Perry continues. "We said, 'Mr. McGraw, we're the Band Perry.' He said, 'Yeah, I know who you guys are. I can't wait to go on tour with you.' For people like Tim McGraw to say he knows who we are, it's one of those dreams come true."

The Emotional Traffic Tour, featuring Tim, Luke Bryan and the Band Perry, kicks off Friday (April 8) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Check here for more tour dates.
