By the sound of their platinum-selling debut album, you'd think the siblings of the Band Perry have been playing together since birth. Although Reid, Kimberly and Neil Perry have all been musically proficient since a young age, big sister Kimberly had a band before her brothers were bit by the performing bug.

"I was 8 (years old), Reid was 10," Neil recalls. "Kimberly started her band, and she needed roadies so Reid and I said, 'We'll help you out for a little bit.' But come to find out we ..."

"[Were] not getting paid," Reid emphatically interjects. However, Kimberly remembers things differently. "That's not true!" she begins.

"They were roadies for about two weeks before they caught the band fever themselves," she explains. "So, like Neil said, (at) 8 (and) 10 years old they started their own little rock 'n roll band. They had this adorable little lead singer, keyboard player and electric guitar player, and their band would open for me and my guys all over the Southeast. We immediately started traveling together as a family and then this moment came when all of our heights kind of evened up and we started out as the Band Perry."

As they say, the rest is history. The trio will hit the road again with Rascal Flatts on Thursday, Jan. 10, in Green Bay, Wis. See a list of more Band Perry tour dates here.
