Taylor Swift Wants to Take Katy Perry to Prom

Taylor Swift may have been too busy during her senior year to attend prom, but that doesn't mean she hasn't thought about who her perfect prom date would be. The 21-year-old says she would welcome the chance to attend a prom as an adult -- if she could bring along a few of her famous friends.

"It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group," she reveals on The Rachael Ray Show (quote via VH1). "Because [of] all these different reasons. Well, Katy Perry would be so much fun. She's just like crazy fun and like spontaneous."

She'd also like to throw in a rapper and a few pop stars to round out the clan. "Diddy has always been very nice to me," she adds. "Justin Timberlake is the same way, he's really funny. And, Sheryl Crow is really down to earth and really cool. And like, J. Lo would be a really good dancer!"

Taylor, who failed to mention in her list of potential dates her rumored current beau, Jake Gyllenhaal, did attend a memorable prom as a 16-year-old, thanks to her philandering high school boyfriend.

"In my sophomore year, the place to hang out was the volleyball court," Taylor recalled to The Boot. "That's where I got asked to go to prom by a guy named Cody. It was two days before prom, and both of us were dateless. So I was sitting there on a bench next to him, and he was like, 'Well, my girlfriend broke up with me.' And I was like, 'Well, my boyfriend cheated on me.' And he was like, 'So, you don't have a date for prom any more?' And I'm like, 'Nope, do you?' And we both just looked at each other, and he said, 'Wait a second, I need to make this special.' So he gets a stick and draws in the sand: "Prom" -- and then a question mark. And I said, 'Yes! Of course!' It was the most fun prom because we were just friends, and it was so spontaneous."

The Grammy winner will have limited time to go on any dates in 2011. She kicks off her 2011 Speak Now World Tour Feb. 9 in Singapore, and will travel in Asia and Europe before hitting North America in May.
