Taylor SwiftTaylor Swift has been the subject of songs, featured in films and now, a website devoted totally to getting a hug from the superstar.

A trio of 22-year-old Auburn University students -- Ryan Leander, Matthew Mahaffey and Michael Wekall -- came up with a random idea to film a documentary and series of webisodes of their quest to get a hug from Taylor. The boys' site, www.ahugfromtaylorswift.com, features their blogs, videos and stats.

Wekall said he heard Taylor's 'Teardrops on My Guitar' a few years ago and has been a fan ever sense. "Despite all the fame and celebrity that has followed her, she has somehow remained truly grounded, and that is something that is admirable in any celebrity," he told thecornernews.com. "And she seems like such a cool person to hang out with."

The guys decided a hug was the most they should ask for, and what sealed the deal was a quote from Taylor, which said "I've always been a hugger ... if we all hugged more, the world would be a better place." They also cite their favorite "T-Swizzle" song as 'Change.'

Taylor took a gander at the website recently and posted her own video in response. (Watch it below!) The 20-year-old started a game with them after she determined they could have some fun, in which she will issue them various challenges along the way. For the first challenge, she wants them to do a simple good deed, film it and post it to their site. That deed: "helping a little old lady across the street." The boys have accepted the challenge so they can realize their end goal: to get a hug from Taylor Swift.

Taylor will most likely be handing out hugs when she plays a two-night stand in Detroit beginning this Friday.
