Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out are giving a sneak preview of their upcoming album, Timeless Hits From the Past BLUEGRASSED, due out Jan. 7. The project -- which will be available exclusively in all Cracker Barrel locations and online at Crackerbarrel.com, Amazon and iTunes -- features the five-time IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year and his band remaking some beloved hits with a bluegrass spin. The lauded musicians tackle tunes originally made famous by the likes of John Denver, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley, among other music legends. (See a full track list below.)

Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out share exclusively with The Boot this live performance of a standout track from the album, "Big Spike Hammer," a song originally recorded by the Osbourne Brothers and also famously done by Flatt & Scruggs. Watch below.
