Old Dominion Treat 2018 CMA Awards Crowd to ‘Hotel Key’
Old Dominion gave a feel-good performance of their single "Hotel Key" at the 2018 CMA Awards. The band delivered the nostalgic song with their trademark easygoing attitude and optimistic vibe.
Old Dominion's stage was lit up in neon -- a giant "HOTEL" sign onstage with the band -- as they performed "Hotel Key." This performance was Old Dominion's first full-length set at the CMA Awards.
"Hotel Key" comes from on Old Dominion's 2017 sophomore album, Happy Endings. The band says a third album is coming down the pike; they recently announced their 2019 Make It Sweet Tour, and released a new song of the same name.
Old Dominion are nominated for Vocal Group of the Year once again at the 2018 CMA Awards. "It’s a real big deal, and it’s been a big year for us, so we’re excited," the band's Matthew Ramsey told Rolling Stone prior to the ceremony. "We’ve never won a CMA, so the further we get down the road, the more it seems to become more important."
