Miranda Lambert took time out of her tour schedule last weekend to help some local four-footed fans along with her human ones in Eau Claire, Wis. Bob's House for Dogs sold tickets for a meet-and-greet with Miranda before her concert there, raising thousands of dollars to support the shelter with the singer's help. Miranda sees the promotion as another chance to raise awareness about animal adoption, a cause near and dear to her heart.

"Working with Bob's House was a great opportunity for me to promote rescue animals," Miranda tells Eau Claire's Weau.com. "I just wanted to help because I love animals, and that's my passion. I adopted a dog named Delilah five years ago from a shelter in East Texas and it just kind of sparked interest in me. I knew the shelter needed help and they were run strictly on donations. That's what I'm all about, is getting people aware of the adoption option."

Miranda's Mutt Nation Foundation works with shelters all across the country to help raise money and awareness about strays, and she holds an annual concert, Cause for the Paws, which benefits animal shelters in East Texas and around the country as well.
