Miranda Lambert Teams Up With Shakira on ‘The Voice’

Miranda Lambert is leaving her husband, Blake Shelton -- sort of.

According to a recent report by Us Weekly, Lambert is joining Season 6 of 'The Voice,' serving as a celebrity mentor for Team Shakira. The magazine says that while Season 5 is still airing, Season 6 has already begun taping, with the country songstress helping the Latin artist instead of her own spouse.

But while the pairing might seem a bit odd, it certainly isn't evidence of any marital strife. "We had our ups and downs for damn sure along the way. I just could not imagine her not being in my life," Shelton insists. "I just couldn't get over her. I know I can't."

His wife wholeheartedly agrees.“Like I always say, my mom said to my dad, ‘Divorce is not an option,'" Lambert adds. "So, we really love each other and have a real marriage outside of all of this.”

Season 6 of 'The Voice' will air in the spring. The current season airs on Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.
