Luke Combs Unveils New Song ‘1, 2 Many’ on Twitter [WATCH]
Luke Combs’ love for such ‘90s country artists as Neal McCoy, John Michael Montgomery and recent collaborators Brooks & Dunn never sounded more blatant than it does on his unreleased song “1, 2 Many” -- and that’s a good thing. The country star shared the track via Twitter on Thursday (June 27), continuing his habit of teasing new songs via social media after performing them live.
“This is a song about drinking too much and takes me back to the '90s country music that I grew up listening to,” writes Combs about "1, 2 Many," which readers can hear above. It’s a simple, relatable tale, in line with Combs’ radio hits, with an added emphasis on his band’s harmonizing abilities.
In an earlier tweet, Combs teased the release of a series of new songs, presumably as live video captured by his crew or fans: “Cool if I post a clip of an unreleased song each Thurs. at 4PM EDT starting tomorrow for the next 5 weeks or so?!,” Combs asked rhetorically. “Possible a few of y'all will have already heard some of the songs, but added a few more people to this crazy ride we're on recently so I want to share with everyone!”
Five weeks of new releases would keep the demand for new Combs material met through the end of July — the month in which he will officially join the Grand Ole Opry. His induction is slated for July 16.
Combs' fast-rising career shows no signs of slowing down, especially not since the release of his The Prequel EP in early June. There's no word yet on a full sophomore album, though.
