As everyone awaits Kelly Clarkson's long overdue solo album, the original 'American Idol' is working on another project. Perhaps taking a cue from Miranda Lambert, the pop superstar has formed her very own three-woman group, Already Famous. And judging by the trio's delectable harmonies and song choice in the video below, we're guessing (and hoping!) they'll join Miranda's new group, Pistol Annies, on country radio.

Already Famous is comprised of Kelly and her two friends, back-up singers Jill Pickering and Kate Rapier. AOL Music reports the ladies chose their band named based on what they found to be the "funniest nail polish name" in the cosmetic store Sephora.

While Kelly certainly lives up to the band's name, she insists that all three girls will share the spotlight. "We switch on different songs. We all sing lead, alto, and soprano at different points," the girls explain on their Twitter account, @AlreadyFamous3.

The trio have already recorded several songs together, and Kelly tweeted that she and the girls were headed into the studio last weekend. "I'm off to Oklahoma to record some songs with @jillandkate! I love random writing and recording with friends!" she tweeted.
