Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson rose to fame as the winner of the very first season of 'American Idol', in 2002; her first single, "A Moment Like This," was released immediately after she won the TV singing competition and shot to the top of the charts. On year later, in 2003, Clarkson released her debut album, 'Thankful', which spawned the Top 10 hit "Miss Independent." The singer has continued to earn success in both the country and pop worlds, including with her 2004 album 'Breakaway', which has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and is her most successful album to date. Following a dispute with her record label, RCA/19 Records, over the release of her 2007 album, 'My December', Clarkson hired Narvel Blackstock, then Reba McEntire's husband, as her manager. The decision also turned out to be important to Clarkson's love life, as she met and began a relationship with Blackstock's son, Brandon Blackstock. Clarkson and the younger Blackstock wed in 2012; they have a daughter, River Rose, born in 2014, and welcomed a son, Remington Alexander, in 2016.
