Keith Urban may hail from Australia but he's become a regular fixture around the all-American game of football. The global superstar will perform songs from his latest album, 'Get Closer' at the Super Bowl XLV pre-game show, which begins at 2:00 PM ET, February 6, originating from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It's the unofficial kick-off to Keith's Get Closer 2011 World Tour which begins June 16.

Keith also performed at the Thanksgiving Day game in North Texas between the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. His family - wife Nicole Kidman and their daughter Sunday Rose - were shown cheering on the players (no word which team!) from the stands.

Nicole, who, of course, also hails from Austrailia, is nevertheless a longtime American football fan who actually switched team loyalties when she moved to Nashville with Keith.

"The Giants used to be my team, but now it's the Titans," Nicole tells USA Weekend. "We go to games. Sunday is not that interested now, but she will be. She'll be wearing her little Titans jersey."

No word yet if Keith's wife and family will attend the Super Bowl with him. Although Nicole tells USA Weekend that she and Keith have pledged to spend as much time together as possible, newborn daughter Faith Margaret Kidman Urban may alter those plans just a tad. Faith was born December 28 in Nashville and the couple gave the following statement on January 17 when they announced her arrival:

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," they said. "No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier."

Although Faith may not attend any football games this year, it's a good bet that she will join her big sister in sporting football apparel.

Keith's Get Closer tour kicks off June 16 in Biloxi, Miss. For a complete list of dates and venues, check here.
