Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook is mourning the loss of his sister, Joyce Marie Westbrook Morgan.

According to her obituary, Morgan passed away on Sunday (Nov. 29). She was 59 years old and lived in Corner, Ala.; a cause of death was not given. Morgan leaves behind her husband, Paul Morgan, three daughters and sons-in-law, a stepson and a stepdaughter and her husband, as well as 12 grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother and five siblings and their spouses.

Westbrook posted a photo of and heartfelt tribute to his older sister on Instagram on Wednesday (Dec. 2), calling her "one of the funniest people I've ever known."

"She was so full of life and light, and if you were around her, chances are, you were laughing. She had one of the prettiest faces you'll ever lay eyes on. When she walked into a room, you couldn't help but notice her," Westbrook writes. "As pretty as that face and that smile was, she was even more beautiful on the inside. She loved with everything she had. She was a mom and a grandmother. It was everything to her. It's who she was. A nurturer and a protector.

"When I was a kid, she taught me to hold my head up and be confident in who I was. That has always stuck with me," he continues. "She always claimed that she wanted a little brother so bad that she prayed me into this world ... and I always believed her."

Morgan's visitation and funeral are being held Wednesday (Dec. 2), and she will be buried on Thursday (Dec. 3). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, a cancer research center in Nashville.
