What was the most fun part of filming this video?

Everything about the day was fun. But my favorite part was having the entire amusement park to ourselves. We even got to go on some of the rides without waiting in any lines. Amazing!

What makes you more nervous, performing for a live audience or performing for the cameras?

Definitely the cameras. It's hard to relax and be yourself when you have a huge video camera literally inches from your face. But the director, Kristen Barlowe, is such a pro and so hilarious; that really made it easier for me to act natural and just have fun, regardless of the cameras.

How did you come up with the concept for this video?

I knew that I wanted the video to include a Ferris wheel, and it all went from there! I worked closely with the video director and loved the storyline and all of the little moments that she added in. I really feel that it captures the song perfectly.

Was filming your first music video everything you expected, or were there surprises?

I really wasn't sure what to expect, but it was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had. The only part of the day I didn't like was when it had to end. I was a bit surprised that there was so much acting involved, though. I guess I halfway expected to just be singing 'Ferris Wheel' over and over and over, and that the extras would be doing most of the acting. But as it turns out, we were all doing a lot of acting, and I'm not gonna lie, I kind of enjoyed it!

Tell us about the decision to release 'Ferris Wheel' as your debut single.

I wanted my first single to be a fun, innocent kind of song that gives fans a glimpse into me and my album, and 'Ferris Wheel' is the perfect song to do just that. It's a fun, playful love song that brings back memories of going to the county fair every year and hoping to snag a kiss from your girl on top of the Ferris wheel.
