Jason Aldean may end up having his kind of party at this year's CMT Awards, if the nominations are any indication. Jason was surprised Wednesday with the unexpected news that he leads the CMT nominees with four nods. Fresh off of a gold certification for his smash single with Kelly Clarkson, 'Don't You Wanna Stay,' Jason received nominations for Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year and Best Web Video of the Year for 'My Kinda Party,' while his collaboration with Kelly was nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year. And the hardworking Georgia crooner says receiving any of those trophies would be just fine with him!

"I was a little surprised ... I didn't even know they were announcing them today," Jason told The Boot just after hearing the news. "I started getting all these texts from people congratulating me, and I had to ask what they were so congratulating me for, so that was pretty cool ... It was a good way to start my day off!"

Though he's nominated in several different categories, Jason doesn't have a preference which one he'd like to dominate, although the collaboration with Kelly would be a sweet one to take home, for obvious reasons.

"As far as one in particular I would like to win, it doesn't really matter. I haven't had a chance to win a ton of awards so far in my career, so I'm not choosy. Any of them would be fine with me. But it would be nice to win the award for the video with Kelly. That duet has been an amazing song for us, and has been huge for my career, and getting to work with her has been so great. Kelly is probably my favorite female singer out there, so to win an award with her would be pretty cool. But like I said, I'm not picky, I'll take any of 'em. If it happens to be that one, that's awesome!"

Jason has some stiff competition in that particular category, though, since he's facing Justin Bieber and Rascal Flatts for 'That Should Be Me,' Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow on 'Collide,' Aaron Lewis with George Jones and Charlie Daniels on 'Country Boy,' and Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow's rendition of 'Coal Miner's Daughter.'

Fans can help Jason or their other favorite artists out by voting at CMT.com through June 7. The awards show will take place June 8 in Nashville.
