Easton Corbin is on top! The singer's third studio album, About to Get Real, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

The record includes the Top 40 single "Clockwork," as well as "Baby Be My Love Song," which landed in the Top 5. Although the 33-year-old was hoping that the project would make it onto the charts, he admits that he didn't spend a lot of time worrying about where the record might fall.

“I try not to pay attention to it too much,” Corbin tells Billboard. “I mean, you’ve got to. But I don’t dwell on it a lot. There’s guys at the label, and that’s what they do. I try to look at the highlights of things and see where they are going, but I try not to get too in-depth in it.”

About to Get Real follows Corbin's All Over the Road record, which was released in 2012, and the singer promised the three-year wait would be worth it.

“A lot of people have been asking us about new music," Corbin says. "I’m definitely ready. It’s always great to have some new and fresh material out there for the listeners.”

The title track of the album, written by Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Jeremy Stover, sums up what Corbin says the record is about.

“When deciding on an album title, About to Get Real just says it all for me,” Corbin says. “When country fans listen to this album, I want them to take away that even though the music mixes the modern with the classic, it’s entirely real. Like the music of my heroes, it’s the real deal.”
