Dan + Shay, Justin Bieber’s ‘10,000 Hours’ Video Puts Their Wives in the Spotlight [WATCH]
Dan + Shay's new collaboration with Justin Bieber, "10,000 Hours," now has an adorable new music video to accompany it. Press play above to watch the clip.
The "10,000 Hours" video puts the trio of artists' wives -- Dan Smyers' wife Abby, Shay Mooney's wife Hannah and Bieber's wife Hailey Baldwin -- in the spotlight. The clip features scenes of the three singers serenading the women in various settings, as well as sweet home videos of their time together.
"I'd spend 10,000 hours and 10,000 more / Oooh, if that's what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours," goes the chorus of "10,000 Hours." "And I might never get there, but I'm gonna try / If it's 10,000 hours or the rest of my life / I'm gonna love you."
Smyers, Mooney, Bieber, Jordan Reynolds, Jessie Jo Dillon and Jason "Poo Bear" Boyd all co-wrote "10,000 Hours," which Dan + Shay tell Taste of Country they recently performed at Bieber and model Baldwin's wedding. The song is, Mooney explains, "about spending a lifetime learning and loving your significant other."
"This song means a lot to us because we are married to two wonderful ladies, Hannah and Abby, and it was cool to be able to collaborate with our friend, Justin Bieber, because he’s in that same boat: just recently got married to his wife Hailey," Mooney says. "And this song means a lot to all of us, and we hope that this song resonates as much to our fans as it does to us."
Smyers produced "10,000 Hours," which is the first single from Dan + Shay's next album. More details about that project have yet to be announced, however.
Smyers and Mooney have been friends with Bieber for a number of years. Celebrity talent manager Scooter Braun is Bieber's manager and Dan + Shay's co-manager (with Jason Owen).
Dan + Shay's next album will be their fourth studio project. It follows 2018's Dan + Shay, which earned critical and fan praise, and recognition at numerous awards shows. All three singles from the record hit No. 1, as did the album itself. The two are the reigning ACM Vocal Duo of the Year, and are nominated for three CMA Awards; Smyers earned an additional three nominations for his work as a songwriter and producer.
