As a new addition to the country music scene, Craig Wayne Boyd recently took a huge step in his career, performing on one of Nashville's most hallowed stages.

Boyd made his Grand Ole Opry debut on Jan. 3, singing his first single, 'My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face.' 'The Voice''s Season 7 winner used the skills he learned on the show with his coach Blake Shelton to get the crowd into the moment -- and you can tell in the video above that Boyd is thrilled, if a little bit shocked, to be on the iconic stage throughout his performance.

The time since his victory on the TV singing competition has been a whirlwind for the singer. 'My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face' debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and the video for the single was recently inducted into The Boot's Video Shootout Hall of Fame. Boyd is also set to open for Rascal Flatts during their Las Vegas residency.

“I remember, a little more than a year ago, sitting in a pickup outside of a club after I had played to basically no one and talking to my drummer and saying, ‘Listen, I may have to quit because it’s not paying my bills, and I’m losing my house.’ I lost my pickup. I didn't know what I was going to do,” Boyd recalls. “And him telling me, ‘Dude, you can’t do that.’ And then, randomly, the opportunity [came] up to go audition a few months out for 'The Voice,' and I was like, 'You know what? You ought to go do that.'"
