Brett Eldredge's fans were the first to know his next single. The Illinois native used social media Wednesday (June 25), to announce the follow-up to his No. 1 'Beat of the Music.'

The song is the third single from his freshman 2013 'Bring You Back' album. The tender love song, with lines like "If mine could be the name that changes yours / The wine in your glass / The swing on your porch / The dollar in your pocket / And the peaceful in your sleep / Then I'd be what you mean to me," has already been having a huge impact in his live concerts.

“I started playing ‘Mean To Me’ out at shows and girls just go crazy for it. I literally had somebody get engaged at one of my shows to that song,” he tells Radio.com. “People started saying, ‘I walked down the aisle to that song,’ ‘That’s my girlfriend and I’s first dance.’ It’s cool to hear that. That song has really struck a chord with folks out there. I hope I can sing that one for a long, long time.”

Eldredge will have plenty of chances over the summer to appeal to his female listeners. In addition to performing several solo shows, he will hit the road next month to serve as the opening act on Keith Urban's Raise 'Em Up Tour.
