Blake Shelton is putting his big guns to work. The avid hunter has been tapped to host the first-ever NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot, taking place the day before this year's ACM Awards.

The event is part of The Week Vegas Goes Country festivities, and will take place on April 2 at Nellis Air Force Base. Other famous faces joining Blake will be announced in the coming weeks.

The NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot is a 13-station, 50-target sporting clays competition for 20-26 teams of five shooters with a celebrity captain. Prizes will go to the top three teams.

This isn't the first time Blake has hosted a clay shoot charity event sponsored by the National Rifle Association. He stepped up as host at the inaugural event this past June during the CMA Music Festival to raise money to benefit Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts.

"We get to do something we love to do, with our fans, and help raise awareness for a worthy cause while having a great time," Blake says.

The event will most likely give him a much-needed break from rehearsals as the co-host of this year's ACM Awards, which will air live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on April 3 at 8:00 PM ET on CBS.
