Blackberry Smoke Announce New Album ‘Find a Light’
Blackberry Smoke have announced the release of their new album, Find a Light, on April 6. The sixth full-length studio album from the five-piece band, Find a Light features 13 tracks written or co-written by lead singer and guitarist Charlie Starr.
Self-produced by Starr and fellow band members Richard Turner (bass, vocals), Brit Turner (drums), Paul Jackson (guitar, vocals) and Brandon Still (keyboards), Find a Light also includes a lineup of all-star guests such as Robert Randolph (on the track “I’ll Keep Ramblin’”), Amanda Shires (on “Let Me Down Easy") and the Wood Brothers (on “Mother Mountain"). Blackberry Smoke return with an amalgamation of the bluegrass-infused Southern rock that the band has cultivated as a trademark sound.
Find a Light is the follow-up to Blackberry Smoke's 2016 project Like an Arrow; the album won them accolades and strengthened their rapidly growing fan following. The lead track from the album, "Flesh and Bone," was released Friday (Jan. 19) and is available for immediate download; readers can also hear it below.
“The new album is a melting pot of Blackberry Smoke music with a wide range of sound and emotion," Starr says. "I think it’s our most inspired work yet."
Find a Light is available for pre-order now. The band has an extensive tour planned for 2018; a full schedule is available on their website.
