Amos Lee is less than a week away from releasing his highly-anticipated new studio album, and the singer-songwriter is sharing one final track from the project with readers of The Boot via this exclusive preview.

'Stranger' features rich harmonies, propelled by a driving rhythm track. Working in the Nashville studio of producer Jay Joyce, Lee used his road band to cut many of the tracks for the new album with a live feel, resulting in a different sound than previous efforts.

"I felt like my touring band really grew a lot on that last tour," Lee explains. "I kinda felt like they were really ready to be a big part of this record, and I wanted to give them the opportunity to grow even more."

'Stranger' appears on Lee's upcoming fifth studio album, 'Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song.' The album is the follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2011 album ‘Mission Bell,’ which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Rock Albums charts, and featured the No. 1 hit single ‘Windows Are Rolled Down.’

'Mountains of Sorrow, Rivers of Song' is set for release on Oct. 8 via Blue Note Records. It is currently available for pre-order at iTunes.
