Tim McGraw Backs Out of ACM Awards
Tim McGraw was noticeably absent from Sunday's ACM Awards, even though he was scheduled to perform on the broadcast. McGraw's publicist confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that the singer's management team pulled him off the show, due to a "major disagreement" with ACM producers. It's not clear what the two sides were clashing over, but EW reports that it was possibly over production design.
McGraw, pictured left rehearsing Saturday on the ACM stage, walked out of rehearsals, giving ACM producers one day to fill his shoes. His performance slot was given to Blake Shelton, and Sugarland were added as last-minute presenters, likely taking the spot of McGraw and/or his wife, Faith Hill.
McGraw is still scheduled to perform on tonight's ACM Artist of the Decade tribute to George Strait.
