Thompson Square, comprised of husband and wife Keifer and Shawna Thompson, will release a brand-new song, "You Make It Look So Good," on May 20. In the meantime, they have revealed a snippet of the track for their fans -- and they make it sound so good!

The duo revealed the news of their new song during a Facebook chat from backstage at the Paramount Theatre, where they performed on Friday (May 6). They filled fans in on everything from life with their son Cooper to the details of their forthcoming record ... and, of course, the info about "You Make It Look So Good."

"Shawna and I just fell in love with it," says Keifer Thompson the tune, explaining the premise of the song by saying, "When I was younger, I thought I would never get married; I didn't want anything to do with that. When you do meet that right person ... it's like, 'Maybe being tied down to one person isn't that bad' ... and pretty soon, it just consumes you."

"You Make It Look So Good" wasn't written by T2, but as they explain, that shouldn't matter. Their goal is to find songs where their fans -- and even the duo themselves -- can't distinguish whether or not they wrote it.

"I never thought I'd let / Anyone get close enough / Make me fall in love / You make it look so / You make it look so good," sings the duo in "You Make It Look So Good." "Baby, you've been taking up all my time / And I don't, I don't mind."

"You Make It Look So Good" was produced by Nathan Chapman, who also took the single's cover photo.

The Thompsons welcomed Rigney Cooper Thompson in late January, and he's already proved that he's the perfect baby for touring musicians.

"It's really been kind of a cool transition because he sleeps great on the bus," says Keifer Thompson. "So Cooper is a thumbs-up on the road."

T2 are writing a lot of material while they're out on the road -- "a lot about Cooper, too," Shawna Thompson admits -- as they're in the process of making a new record.

"... The funny thing about having a kid is, it makes you a much better songwriter," Keifer Thompson notes. "You know exactly what you want to write about, and you know that you have to provide for this kid now. So you can't go into a writing session and suck."

Right now, Thompson Square are in the studio and working with producers. Though they haven't revealed much about their new project, they laud it as "the most Thompson Square record that Thompson Square has ever put out."
